“Nine years of my life have been spent being bullied. Nine years of being called names, being beaten up by people taller and stronger then me, being told I don’t belong and that I’m ‘different.’ I am now going to a different school very far away from the one I used to go to, but the scars that are physically and mentally on me will never disappear. This poster is dedicated to how much words can really hurt a person. There is no such thing as ‘sticks and stones can break my bones, but words can never hurt me.’ Words can cut as much as a knife and can lead to a person taking their own life. I know, it almost did for me. So this is for all the people that have been beaten, bullied, called names, and felt hated for no reason that they can fathom to be sane. I hope this poster can help people to understand how serious bullying is and how much it can hurt a person, and I sincerely hope that I can help change things for the better with it.”
