BITTER WORDS, by Taylor B

Shattered glass on the floor.
Broken dreams splattered against the wall.

Many can’t see all their words touch.
Sometimes they heal,
Often they shatter at the ears.

Bits of paper scattered upon the bed.
Tortured words stain the sheets.

Tread lightly, speak softer.
Each words a gift,
And a curse

  1. This is a modern way of expressing an old idea, that words have power. Each word's a gift (a blessing)And a curse (a deprivation)We need to:Tread light, speak softas well as:Tread lightly, speak softly. Thanks for a reminder to use words wisely.
