“This piece was inspired by the intense bullying I endured in elementary school. After a year of being bullied the nickname ‘Cry Baby’ stuck to me. Their words and actions hurt me deeply. I cried often because of the bullying as well as goings on at home. Hence where the nickname came from. People are cruel. All it takes is standing up for yourself and you’ll rise above them. I did, and so can you.”
