SMILING STRANGER, by Stephanie Lange

~Smiling Stranger, by Stephanie Lange
“This picture started out as a doodle in class that I took home and remastered.  It was drawn as i thought about the first time I really started imagining and conjuring up things, such as imaginary friends. I never did this before I started being bullied when I entered Middle School and delved in to a 3 year depression.  Around that time, I began writing poetry, drawing, and writing short stories to escape the abuse. This image represents a first meeting with one of my own still living characters. Think of it like she’s spreading light and taking the little girl out of the shadows.”
