“Art, literature and music is my only escape from reality. I wasn’t abused by any of my family members, but by fellow students at school. The verbal and physical abuse sent me into a very dark place. However, as I discovered what I can do with art I can escape this dark place, if only for a little bit. Art is my sanctuary and helps me get through hard times. This art work illustrates the dark place in an abstract way. Luckily a road can go both ways, I’m deciding to turn around and get away from the chaos to try and end bullying.”
