“A speaker came to my school today. He spoke of his own eleven year old son, who commit suicide in their bedroom. He retaliated against a boy who had been bullying him for two years, and got in trouble. His speech was very passionate, but most importantly, he kept using this hand symbol. He told us it was ‘lmL’, and that it meant love and respect. Every word he spoke held such importance and power, it inspired me to draw this of my character Shane, using lmL. The program is called Stand For The Silent.”
