With every whisper,
With every stare;
It doesn’t matter when,
Or where.
Whether it last a day,
A week or longer,
Your snide remarks
Just make me stronger.
At first it hurts,
Like a knife to the chest,
When I see my reflection,
It’s far from the best.
Your comments race,
Through my pondering mind,
But when I’m safe at home,
I begin to unwind.
I reflect upon,
What you have said,
As I lie awake,
Tucked in my bed.
So I thank you in each
And every way,
For making me the girl,
That, I am today.
With every whisper,
With every stare,
It doesn’t matter when,
Or Where.
Whether it last a day,
A week or longer,
Your snide remarks
Just make me stronger.
~Stronger, by RachelLou96
“So this is a poem I wrote about somebody who was bullying me for my appearance and personality. He really knocked my confidence for a while, but I began to realise that there was nothing wrong with me, but that the problem lied with him, and in a way I feel sorry for him: It’s a shame that the only way he can be happy is installing pain on others. So this poem basically sums up my feelings at the time of writing it.”
