“My new painting, “Mophead” is a strange little painting. Kids called me mophead because as a child I was skinny as a mop handle. Dad would put a bowl on my head and cut my hair around the rim. One of my chores after mom ran away was mopping the board floor. I felt as wooden as the mop.”
