THE ADVENTURES OF RUBBERKID, by Charles J

~The Adventures of Rubberkid, by Charles J
“The Adventures of Rubberkid is a colorful, cute game for elementary school children. Players take on the role of Rubberkid, moving around the screen and bouncing insults back at the bullies who threw them. Each level focuses on helping a particular child (or children), and once helped, the player gets to see more info about them: ‘What Would Have Been’ if the bullies continued and ‘But Since You Helped, what they’ll do with their life.

Each level focuses on a different type of bullying… One is bullied for having to use a wheelchair, for example, while two boys are bullied for possibly being ‘more than friends’; two cheerleaders are picked on, one for being ‘too fat’ and the other for being ‘too skinny’, and so on! This clearly demonstrates the terrifying results of bullying! Don’t just take my word for it, though, you can try it out with a link at the bottom of this email!

Since the point of the game is to help conquer bullying, it’d be silly to charge people money to play it… So the game is entirely free! I am writing to libraries across the country, and I’m already getting reservations once it comes out to have it as rentable at their locations. As an indie, I really can’t afford to create this many discs and mail them around, so I’m funding the game with Kickstarter. The campaign ends the 30th and is currently 101% funded at $760.”
