“I stumbled across this project last night, browsing the internet, and it captured my interest immediately. I will rise. What a perfect name. I definitely feel like I have risen so far from where I was as a teenager. I spent a lot of years hating myself, accepting the labels that were placed upon me by my peers. It wasn’t until I graduated high school that I was able to see that a label can never define who you are. That being different, being odd, didn’t make you any less worthwhile as a person.”
