“In honor of the Day of Silence, April 11th, 2014. In case you don’t know what the Day of Silence is, it’s a national day where students are silent at school and do not speak to each other in order to represent the silencing of the LGBT community. It is an anti-bully awareness day in which very one who supports gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender rights is invited to participate. Some adults and even whole companies join in the silence as well so that we can stand up against hate-crimes and bullying. I have personally been bullied in the past for my looks and sexuality. Let’s end the silence and stand up to bullying!”
