You hear me yell
You hear me scream
All this pain
Is what it seems
The tears
The scars
And all the blood
Are just wounds
Like oceans flood
You whip
You slash
You break the bones
Just like that
Of a broken home
You take the pleasure
From my pain
That causes smiles
For your own gain
But here I am
Standing strong
And all this hurt
Is but a song
Against a whim
Of dimmer hope
I see the light
A shining note
We don’t thrive
Within a cave
We are not
Your bloody slaves
~Manipulate, by Jordon G
“This poem is about the struggles of bullying. How people think they can harass you, abuse you or even manipulate you just because you are different. I’ve been bullied all throughout elementary school simply because I was a bigger kid, but there came a point in my life where I was sick of it, and stood up to my abusers and took control of the situation. There are always people who can help, even if you’re afraid to get help, seek assistance as soon as you can. They can’t harm you more then they already have, and that I was my poem is about.”
