You and I aren’t so different
The bully and I
We both face issues
And it’s okay to cry
But to hurt me
Does not take the pain away
You and I aren’t so different
We are both in pain
Struggling in life
But to ruffle mine is not right
Under our faces
You and I aren’t so different
Both humans in misery
Both struggle in a world against us
Both who mask our pains
Me by holding it in
You by letting it out
You and I aren’t so different
The meaning of my poem relates the bully to the person being bullied. That both are humans who face issues in life and deal with their problems in different ways, but under the skin, we are the same, people.
